From November 21st to 23rd, the 2023 Hi-tech Lithium-ion Annual Conference, themed "Navigating Through Cycles, Enhancing Resilient Growth," was held grandly at JW Marriott Hotel in Qianhai OCT, Shenzhen. Professionals and senior executives from the entire lithium-ion battery industry chain, including upstream, midstream, and downstream companies, gathered together to explore the industry's direction and trends in the post-cyclic phase of the industry.

Intelligent Manufacturing Upgrade: Significant Advantages in Cost Saving and Efficiency Improvement
During the "Opening Ceremony Session: Market Turning Point and Industry Differentiation" on November 21st, Jay Jiang, Director and Partner of ZOCONO, delivered a fascinating speech titled " Lithium Intellectual Manufacturing Upgrade and Cost Reduction ”.
Jay Jiang stated that, following of trend of fierce market competition, ZOCOCNO will continue to increase its investment in R&D, iterate and upgrade its products based on customer demands, empower high-quality development of lithium-ion back-end manufacture from multiple dimensions such as energy & cost saving and efficiency improvement, and build a global delivery service system.
As one of the most energy-consuming processes in battery manufacturing, capacity grading process of cell production suffers from three major pain points: low precision, high cost of production line construction, and high energy consumption.
ZOCONO took the lead in introducing the third-generation gallium nitride water-cooling integrated grading machine, effectively addressing these three pain points and achieving high precision, high efficiency, low energy consumption, and low-cost requirements for extreme manufacturing.
ZOCONO applied the third-generation semiconductor material gallium nitride for precise power control. With a 5-bridge arm phase-shifted output, it achieves a current ripple error of less than ±0.05%FS (within ±200mA) and a current-voltage accuracy of ±0.025%FS+±0.025%RD. The water-cooling internal circulation cooling system significantly improvs the consistency of cell yield and capacity calculation. Compared to traditional solutions, it demonstrates much stronger performance.
In terms of production line construction costs, ZOCONO achieves a 30% reduction in space, a 67% reduction in commissioning cycle, and further reduces factory energy consumption through decreased air conditioning power and saved copper materials for wiring. This results in a cost saving of 15-20%, far superior to traditional solutions.
In terms of operational costs, thanks to the significant improvement in charge and discharge efficiency, the energy consumption for a full capacity charge and discharge only accounts for 37% of the total battery energy, representing a 60% reduction in energy consumption and 10% reduction in distribution capacity compared to traditional solutions. As a result, the solution can help customers save approximately RMB 8 million of electricity costs in a single production line in a year.
Taking big steps to "go global" and accelerate integration into the global industrial chain
Chinese lithium battery companies are collectively accelerating their international expansion following the trend of new energy development and the rapid growth of export business. However, compared to the mature domestic supply chain, the overseas market has yet to form a complete system and faces many challenges.
ZOCONO has established a global service and project management system, with subsidiaries and offices in countries such as the United States, Germany, Slovakia, Singapore, and Hungary, to expand and establish R&D centers and production bases to meet customers' localized needs.
